At SBC we believe that the bible says we are all ministers! Everyone has something to offer in serving the church and the community. This page lists all the serving opportunities at SBC.

It is not always easy to work out the right place to serve. For this reason everyone is offered the opportunity of a 'First Serve'. Here's how it works:

• One off opportunity to 'try out' the role
• No commitment necessary
• Follow discussion with leader to decide future involvement
  • Did the contribution you made seem meaningful?
  • Was your emotional energy higher or lower after you served?
  • Was there a comfortable relational dynamic on the team? Did you enjoy serving alongside these people?
  • Would an on-going commitment to this ministry be realistic for your current season of life and schedule?

Not all roles are well suited to the principle of 'First Serve'. However, we will do our best to provide a way of sampling the role without the need for long term commitment.
