Once again the 3rd annual Scunthorpe Baptist Church Snowball took place at Forest Pines on Saturday 30th January 2010. We even had a flutter of snow that day which the organiser had not managed to arrange but it was very apt. This event is organised by the church so that everyone in the local community can come along and enjoy an evening of eating and entertainment but at the same time support a well deserved charity.
This year all proceeds are going to the Cancer Ward 18 at Scunthorpe General Hospital. It was a record year and £3500 was raised through ticket sales, donations and collections on the evening. The plan is to buy a specific piece of equipment for the ward so we can see exactly how the money has been spent.
Scunthorpe Baptist Church would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and helped raise this money along with some who could not attend but still made generous donations.
Here are some of the details:

We had our first annual Snowball on 26 Jan 2008 and it was a great success.
250 people came and had a great party and we raised £2,300 for 'For the Kids'.
In 2009 we held the event on 31st January and raised £1200 for Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance.
