In January 2011 ‘Kids' Church’ was launched as an alternative to traditional Sunday School. The radical change in direction was born out of a real passion to see kids' lives changed and impacted by a BIG God. Our hearts’ desire was for the kids to experience God rather than just learn about Him and to start to have a real and lasting relationship with Him.

We have started to build on the knowledge that the kids already have and introduce key principles that can be repeated every week such as: What is the Bible? Who is Jesus? What is Prayer? Who is the Holy Spirit? This then challenges the kids about their relationship with God.

Recently we have been talking about the Holy Spirit and how He can make a difference to our lives and by praying for each others and we have seen real answers to prayers. The kids’ lives are being changed and impacted by God’s presence and their response to what He is saying.

Our Youth group is growing dynamically and is proving to be lively, exciting and rewarding. The team are doing a great job in taking it to a whole new level!

We now meet every Tuesday evening (except weeks when a Friday social event is planned - see below) in the SBC building from 19:30 to 21:30. If you are aged 12-16 (and in at least Year 8 at school) and would like to be part of this group either turn up on a Tuesday or give the church office a call on 01724 848388.

The social nights will normally be held on a Friday or Saturday evening starting at 19:30. Socials are normally at the end of the week that contains the first Tuesday of the month.
